Football Manager 2024 is here…

…starting with 6th of November 2024.

The game trailer was just dropped today and at the end it presents a lot of promising features. More precisely, a schedule of 4 videos talking about what will be added in the game.

Now, there aren’t too many details about what will come out in the next days and Sports Interactive is teasing us at the moment, but it is clear that the plan is there.

What I picked up from the trailer, especially from the videos schedule is that the financial and the transfer part of the game was changed and that offloading players may have received a revamp.

An interesting piece, in my opinion, is the part with positional play. If the players movement was changed in a way in which the players are more intelligent (?) now on the pitch, then this makes our job as managers a lot more interesting.

And there is something there that makes me very hopeful, but I try to contain myself. Set pieces refresh. If the set pieces were revamped somehow, this would be a huge addition to the game. In my opinion, the current FM 23 set pieces are too rigid and…old fashioned. I really, really hope they updated this part of the game.

Now, of course, these are all just speculations and we need to wait and see what Sports Interactive comes with in the planned videos.

But what I can say is that the future with Football Manager 2024 in it looks promising.
