Aggression matters

Aggression is a very important attribute in Football Manager.

A lot of people think that it ties with the player being sent off often, which is partially not true.

Dirtiness, which is a hidden attribute and can be identified by the scouts telling you that a player has a competitive streak which can occasionally lead to him bending the rules contributes to the player being sent off.

The higher the aggression attribute is, the better the player presses his opponent and recovers the ball.

Aggression is an instrumental attribute for tactics that rely on heavy pressing.

Attackers, midfielders and defenders with high rating for this attribute contribute very much to recovering the ball. You need it for any player that must win the ball.

So the next time you think “But why didn’t the player chase after the opponent?”…check his aggression rating 😉.
